Nodo founder Kate Williams was diagnosed with coeliac disease and really missed eating donuts! She found a gap in the market for honest, gluten free, great tasting donuts and set out on a mission! In 2014, she launched nodo to spread happiness through beautiful baked goods that combine artisan methods and naturally gluten free ingredients.

nodo are renowned for their gluten free, ‘baked not fried’ donuts. In recent years they have grown into an institution amongst people with the very same healthy obsession for wholesome food, realising it is a beautiful like-minded community.

The nodo philosophy is simple “eat donuts for breakfast”. This means putting the fun back into wholesome food. All of the nodo products have been lovingly prepared with nothing but good intentions and the best possible, locally sourced, naturally gluten free ingredients.

Opening their Newstead store 10 years ago, the brand has grown over time and now has 8 stores which include 3 kiosks and a bakery - all based locally in Brisbane, QLD. All of the donuts you can try at their cafes are baked fresh every morning from their bakery near James Street in Fortitude Valley and are delivered each morning to stores.

nodo later found another gap in the market and decided to bring their baked goods into the homes of every day Aussies with their 'nodo blends' range for at home baking. From flours to waffles, brownies and donut mixes, you can enjoy freshly baked gluten free goodies at home!

What we love most about nodo is their commitment to supporting local businesses and their sustainability processes. Nothing goes to waste at the bake house, with leftovers and offcuts being used to make other products i.e. The Everything Crumb!

nodo source as many of their ingredients locally as possible, including their bee farmer 'Gary's Honey' to ensure each and every donut is packed with local goodness.

Their baked goods are all gluten free with dairy free, vegan, RSF options available as well. They really have gone above and beyond to make sure all of their baked goods are packed with the best ingredients, and it shows! Customers at Market Organics are always asking for more products in stores. The nodo at home blends range available in store has been created to be simple enough that anyone of any baking background can create delicious healthy baked goods at home - even kids!

nodo are often frequenting the Market Organic birthday events, tasting events and have even been involved in our Good Food and Wine Show and Charity Day events. They are here to support the coeliac community and Brisbane residents alike, and our feedback is always positive when the nodo team are in store.

The team celebrated their TEN YEAR birthday milestone in November this year with a huge birthday bash in Newstead for their loyal customers as a way to say thank you to the community for all of the love and support over the last decade.
