Our management team shares a special affinity for family-owned businesses, much like our own. For years, Brookfarm has graced the shelves of MO stores. So, when the opportunity arose to visit beautiful Byron Bay and meet the makers of Brookfarm, we were thrilled.

As we wandered through the sub-tropical rainforest, a testament to the Brook family's dedication to environmental stewardship unfolded before us. Over 45,000 trees stand tall, a tangible manifestation of their commitment to nurturing the earth.

From their inception, Pam and Martin Brook, the visionaries behind Brookfarm, demonstrated that commerce and conservation need not be at odds. Their pioneering approach to regenerative agriculture harmonises with nature rather than exploiting it.

In 1989, fueled by a dream to embrace rural life and a passion for wholesome food, the Brooks embarked on a transformative journey.

Taking on a dilapidated dairy farm nestled in the Byron Bay hinterland, desolate and overrun with weeds the farm has now blossomed into a thriving ecosystem. Native fauna, from platypus to sugar gliders, now call Brookfarm home alongside their commercial macadamia operation.

Falling in love with Australia’s native nut, the macadamia, the Brooks embarked on months of experimentation in their kitchen, creating Brookfarm's iconic Toasted and Natural Macadamia Muesli's.

With sons Will and Eddie by their side, they debuted their creations at the Bangalow Markets in November 2000.
